Marguerite Ohrtman and Carolyn Berger receive awards at the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision conference
Drs. Marguerite Ohrtman and Carolyn Berger were both honored with awards at the North Central Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (NCACES) conference in Rosemont, Illinois that took place from October 17 to 19. Dr. Ohrtman, the coordinator of the Department of Educational Psychology's counselor education program, the director of school counseling and MA clinical training, and a teaching associate professor, received the NCACES Outstanding Professional Teaching Award. Dr. Berger, teaching associate professor, received the NCACES Outstanding Leadership Award.
NCACES, a regional association of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), strives to further counselor education and supervision to improve counseling services. The association includes members representing Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
