Faculty and students provide leadership and consultation to the state, nation, and international community. The department's scholarship and teaching enhance professional practice in schools and universities, community mental health agencies, business and industrial organizations, early childhood programs, and government agencies.

Our location

Located on the East Bank campus, the Education Sciences Building hosts a variety of amenities for students, including study spaces and conference rooms. It is a short walk to Dinkytown, the heart of University of Minnesota culture with unique shops and delicious restaurants. The building boasts a beautiful view of the Minneapolis skyline and Mississippi River. It’s conveniently located close to walking and biking paths, including the Dinkytown Greenway. Public and visitor parking is a short distance from the building. A few metered parking spots are just outside, and additional parking is available in the Church Street Garage and the 4th Street Ramp.
