Counselor education program attends Day on the Hill and celebrates scholarship award winners

On February 4, over 80 school counselors and around 20 counselor education (CE) students from the University of Minnesota attended the 2025 Minnesota School Counselor Association (MSCA) Day on the Hill at the St. Paul Capitol to advocate for the school counseling profession and student mental health. MSCA Advocacy co-chairs Drs. Carolyn Berger and Marguerite Ohrtman, from the Department of Educational Psychology's counselor education program, led the group to meet with several legislators throughout the day.

The counselor education program also recently held a CE-elebration to recognize its scholarship award winners.
