Seohyeon Choi, PhD candidate in Ed Psych, receives Taylor & Francis Award
Seohyeon Choi, PhD candidate in the Department of Educational Psychology's special education program, has been chosen as a winner of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading's (SSSR) Taylor & Francis Award for her strong application. The SSSR's purpose is to promote the scientific study of reading and to disseminate information about reading and related areas such as language and literacy.
The SSSR Taylor & Francis Award of $500 is provided to four students in PhD programs or those who have PhDs and who also have a paper accepted in the 2024 SSSR conference. The award will be used to help cover the costs of attending an SSSR conference. Along with this, Choi will receive one year's SSSR membership and will be able to choose whether she wants to use the award to pay for this year's SSSR conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, or the 2025 SSSR conference.
