NXT GEN Teach BRIGHT Fellows
NXT GEN Teach is an interdisciplinary preparation program for high intensity social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Become a NXT GEN Teach BRIGHT (Behavioral Resilience and Intensive Growth for High-need Teaching) Fellow to receive funding and interdisciplinary training as you earn your special education teaching license in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and/or Academic and Behavior Strategist (ABS) along with your masters degree in special education.
BRIGHT Fellows receive generous financial assistance in addition to NXT GEN supports:
- $20,000 per year as a scholarship for tuition with up to $5,000 available per year for summer tuition and fees
- Up to $1,500 per year for flexible support (e.g., laptop, books, professional development, travel between sites for fieldwork, childcare during evening coursework, test or licensing fees)
NXT GEN Teach scholars will become more effective in proactively leading team-initiated data-based problem solving in schools to prevent and address high intensity social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.
