Robers, school psych PhD and special ed MA with ABA student, awarded Innovative Student Research Grant in DEI by SABA
Alexandria (Muldrew) Robers, a student in both the PhD in school psychology and MA in special education with an emphasis in applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs in the Department of Educational Psychology, has been honored by the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) with an Innovative Student Research Grant in Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
Robers’ proposed project, “Cultural Considerations in Treatment Development and ABA Service Delivery,” aims to examine multiple practical considerations very relevant to culturally and linguistically diverse communities. SABA selected her project for its “sophisticated conceptualization of cultural considerations in ABA treatment plans and rigorous methodology that involves both qualitative and quantitative analyses” and for Robers’s dedication to “examining important issues of DEI in behavior analysis.”
Robers will be formally recognized at SABA’s Opening Event and Awards which will take place on May 28, 2022.
