Lembke, Ed Psych alum, receives Byler Award
Erica Lembke—alumni of the Department of Educational Psychology’s special education PhD program and now professor and interim dean of the College of Education at the University of Missouri—has been honored with the 2020-2021 Byler Award. The William H. Byler Distinguished Professor award was established in 1978 by Dr. William H. Byler, senior vice president for research, U.S. Radium Corp., for recognition of outstanding abilities, performance and character and is given to only one MU faculty member per year. Dean Lembke will be presented with her award at the 2020 Faculty Recognition Awards virtual ceremony in January 2021.
Dean Lembke is a frequent collaborator with faculty in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota and co-Principal Investigator on the Early Writing Project with Professor and Chair Kristen McMaster. She serves as a senior advisor for the National Center on Intensive Intervention, is past-president of the national board of the Division for Learning Disabilities, and is editor of the journal Assessment for Effective Intervention.
Congratulations Dean Lembke on this well-deserved honor!
