Jessie Kember receives Provost’s Unit Service Award
Jessie Kember, a teaching assistant professor and director of clinical training in the Department of Educational Psychology, has received the prestigious Provost’s Unit Service Award for 2023. The award recognizes faculty for exceptional service that has strengthened the functioning and climate of their unit or department. This is the inaugural year of the award, which is a collaborative initiative of the Provost’s Office and the Faculty Consultative Committee.
Kember has been with the Department of Educational Psychology since 2018. In both teaching and advising, Kember says her goal is to develop supportive relationships with students in order to foster a positive graduate school career and encourage enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
The University will host a celebration for Kember and other U award winners in the fall. More information will be available later this summer.
