Annie Hansen-Burke, PhD, senior lecturer in the Department of Educational Psychology’s school psychology program, has been selected as a Model School Psychology Internship Supervisor by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

NASP recognizes Model School Psychology Internship Supervisors as field-based internship supervisors who consistently demonstrate its Best Practice Guidelines for School Psychology Intern Field Supervision and Mentoring. Each professional selected for the recognition will be designated as a NASP-Recognized Model School Psychology Intern Supervisor.

Hansen-Burke is one of only eight Model School Psych Supervisors recognized by NASP in 2020.

As part of her letter of recommendation, a current student offered the following regarding their relationship with Hansen-Burke, “I cannot emphasize enough how valuable her supervision has been. Annie is able to seamlessly weave positive feedback into supervision while also making sure to provide ideas and suggestions for challenging situations. Annie also has a contagious optimism and can always see the silver-lining in any situation.”

Congratulations to Dr. Hansen-Burke on this well-deserved honor!
