Ed Psych QME alum receives outstanding dissertation award from AAHHE, ETS
Julio Caésar—an alumni of the Department of Educational Psychology’s quantitative methods in education (QME) program—was honored with an Outstanding Dissertation Competition (ODC) award from the American Association of Hispanics in Higher Education (AAHHE), co-sponsored by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
Dr. Caésar received the award for his dissertation, Standardized bilingual assessments: Meeting the demands of the demographic changes of secondary schools in the United States, at the AAHHE national conference, March 10-11 in Henderson, Nevada
According to AAHHE’s website, ODC’S spotlight top doctoral students and excellence in Hispanic student performance at the doctoral level. The ODC aims to encourage greater numbers of Hispanic students to enter and successfully complete doctoral programs and enhance the quality of the dissertations they write.
Dr. Caésar graduated from the QME program in 2020 and is now the director of research, evaluation, and assessment at Bloomington Public Schools.
