Lisa Aguilar receives American Psychological Association's Lightner Witmer Award

At the 2025 APA (American Psychological Association) Convention held in August, Dr. Lisa Aguilar, assistant professor in school psychology, was awarded APA’s Division of School Psychology Division 16 Lightner Witmer Award. 

This prestigious early career award is given to researchers who has demonstrated scholarship that merits special recognition because it has nourished school psychology to grow as a discipline and profession within the current context. 

Dr. Aguilar was selected for the award in recognition of her unique and sustained scholarship and leadership related to decolonizing and Indigenizing school psychology.
