I have been thrilled to have had the opportunity to return to the CE program as a teacher in 2023 after graduating from this very program back in 2016. After graduation, I had the absolute honor of serving as a licensed school counselor (LSC) at the middle school level for seven years, where I worked with incredible school counselors and other educators. I was so fortunate to be able to both support and learn from countless students and their families in that community. In 2023, I had the exciting opportunity to take on my current role as a counselor educator in the CE program. Shortly after, I obtained licensure as a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and enjoy working with a diverse set of clients in the private practice setting.
Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to teach many different courses we offer in the CE program. I have deeply enjoyed welcoming new students into the program, teaching foundational counseling skills, supervising practicum and internship field work, and challenging students as they begin to develop their own unique professional styles. I have especially valued the opportunity to teach and advise students across both the Clinical/Mental Health track and the School Counseling track in our program.
