Dr. Nidhi Kohli, Royal and Virginia Anderson Professor of Quantitative Methods in Education and quantitative methods in education program coordinator in the Department of Educational Psychology, was recently invited to present a seminar at the University of Connecticut (UConn). The talk was part of the Interdisciplinary Seminars on Statistical Methodology for Social and Behavioral Research, a series jointly sponsored by UConn’s Department of Statistics, the Research Methods, Measurement, and Evaluation (RMME) program in the Department of Educational Psychology, and the New England Statistical Society (NESS).

Dr. Kohli’s presentation, titled "Bayesian Longitudinal (Non)Linear Mediation Models," introduced innovative statistical models for estimating linear and nonlinear longitudinal mediation effects. Her work addresses key limitations in traditional structural equation modeling, offering new tools for researchers studying complex developmental and intervention processes.
